COURSE OVERVIEW

The Certificate IV in Project Management Practice is a practical, hands on training course delivered in an interactive classroom environment designed to give participants the knowledge, skills and tools to enable them to become a more effective project team member.

TARGET AUDIENCE

The course is ideal for the wider Project Team regardless of business or industry sector.

Completion of the course will equip the participant with a working knowledge of effective project management methodology, as well as arming them with the tools and techniques to better understand their role and effectively assist in the delivery of projects.

PRE-REQUISTIES

Need to read and write English.

Preferred pathways for candidates considering this qualification include:

  • Up to 4 years vocational experience in project roles where  there may have been some limited responsibility for the output of others but do not have a formal project management qualification.

UNITS

The course comprises of nine units of competency from the National Competency Standards for Project Management which are developed in line with A Guide to the Project Management Body of Knowledge (PMBOK® Guide), the methodology adopted by both the Project Management Institute (PMI®) and the Australian Institute of Project Management.

ASSESSMENT

Following completion of the face-to-face workshop, students are required to complete a portfolio of evidence consisting of theory and practical tasks.
