City of Cockburn Custom Cert IV Project Management Program based on PMBOK® methodology Project Overview LogiKal was engaged to conduct a Discovery Review and then to develop a program that would get staff up to speed with the best practice project management approach through a customised accredited project management program. LogiKal’s Approach LogiKal engaged with the City of Cockburn and encouraged them to look more broadly at how People, Processes and Systems are aligned and integrated within the council. By undertaking a Discovery Review with council Stakeholders and Service Unit Representatives, the Council was presented with a more balanced view of the challenges to project management across its departments. LogiKal’s Value Add The no-blame approach taken by LogiKal empowered council staff to voice their opinions and give open honest feedback. This approach also maximised their training investment by ensuring that LogiKal’s training solution would be tailored to real not perceived problems. LogiKal delivered a nationally recognised AQF Cert IV level program which aligns with the Project Management Institute’s PMBOK® methodology. End-to-end involvement by LogiKal’s facilitators in the program ensured the course was relatable and incorporated relevant council context and issues captured during the Discovery Review.
