Share Course Overview This two-day training course will provide participants with a strong understanding of planning and scheduling principles, methods and techniques using the specialised planning software package Oracle Primavera P6. The course will examine Project Management definitions and characteristics, development of baseline performance management plans, project status updates and earned value techniques. Throughout the two-day period participants will gain an understanding of how Primavera P6 has been designed to address the requirements of planning and scheduling. This course is designed to be a useful precursor to completing a more in-depth scheduling course such as Project Planning and Control using Primavera P6. COURSE AGENDA Day 1 Introduction and Overview of Planning Understanding Project Definitions and Characteristics Initiating a Project Analyse the Project Scope and create Work Breakdown Structure (WBS) Responsibility Assignment Matrix Activity Definition Activity Sequencing and Critical Path Calculations Day 2 Resource Planning and Analysis Develop Time-Phased Budget Cost Breakdown Structure, Cost Loaded Schedule & S-Curve Finalising the Plan, Baselines, Monitoring and Control Capture Progress Data Project Execution and Controlling Manage the Projects Costs Analyse Project Performance Data TARGET AUDIENCE Project professionals who want a better understanding of project scheduling.
